Admission Procedure: B. Tech Course Applications are entertained from the candidates both male and female, who have passed higher secondary (10 + 2) examination of the council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any equivalent examination of recognized Board or University. The candidates who seek admission into the Institute are required to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination, conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination and recommended by the Central Selection Committee (E & T). Seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates as per Government Regulation. In all the branches of Engineering, 15% seats will be available to those candidates who have cleared AIEEE. Master of Computer Application (MCA) Graduates with (10+2+3) seeking admission to Master of Computer Application course are required to qualify in the Joint Entrance Computer Application (JECA) examination conducted by the West Bengal Board of JEE and recommended by Central Selection Committee. Seats are reserved for SC & ST candidates as per Government Regulation. M. Tech. Programme The candidate who has obtained First –Class Degree from Indian or foreign universities in B. Tech., B.E. or equivalent in the discipline for which he/she is wiling to pursue post-graduate degree may apply. Candidate will be selected according to their merit. Application from industry-sponsored candidates may be entertained. Master of Business Administration (MBA) Graduates (10 + 2 + 3) with 50% marks and valid MAT scores are admitted through G.D. & Personal Interview. Qualified candidates of Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) conducted by WBUT and 50% marks in graduation (10 + 2 + 3) are admitted directly. CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGES FOR ADMISSION Describe each criteria with its respective weightages i.e. Admission Test, marks in qualifying examination etc. 1. B. Tech Course – Through JEE/AIEEE. 2. Lateral Entry (B.Tech. Course) – Through JELET. 3. MCA Course – Through JECA. 4. M Tech. Course – Through B.E /B.Tech, M.Sc(In relevant areas). 5. MBA Course –Through MAT/JEMAT.
