ABSTRACT 1

In general practice in industrial applications big machines make use of Transformers for the continues feed of voltage and current without change in frequency even when voltages are varying the Transformers give out constant voltages as required for the machines to work. So it is very important to keep these expensive equipment safe and damage free. This project tells us about the causes which easily damages the equipment ultimately total shuts down the system. We will get to learn many techniques which help us protect Transformers from damages. So there is a need to secure these costly equipment from many damage causing parameters so that we may use according to the load limitations, less maintainability. Also the applications of these secure transformers at different load levels to safe guard these from heavy damages.

ORGANISATION OF THE PROJECT CHAPTER 1 deals with Introduction CHAPTER 2 deals with Basic theory of Transformer CHAPTER 3 deals with Causes of Failures CHAPTER 4 deals with Protection Methods CHAPTER 5 deals with Applications CHAPTER 6 deals with Case study CHAPTER 7 deals with Conclusion
