A Shadow

A shadow I’m standing in this shadow The shadow of myself A shadow created by sadness and anger I try to run I run fast and long But the shadow is quick and still there I climb the highest mountain I go down the deepest valley But the shadow still haunts me It’s laughing at me I can’t escape There is no where to hide There is no way out Or is there Can this darkness be removed This terror be dissolved There’s just one thing to do Get on my knees Pray to the lord Now the shadow screams Then it cries And it’s torn away

The light is revealed Happiness resides Now there’s no need to run I’m in the Lords eyes It could be done all along I just had to ask Then the Lord could answer
