PRILIMINARY COST EASTIMATE FRAMED BY SEVENTH SEMESTER CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT AND STUDENTS OF SSIET DERA BASSI. FOR THE CONTRUCTION OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL BUILDING IN SECTOR 26,PANCHKULA

REPORT: The development works of sector 26 U/E ,panchkula i.e sewerage, SWD,W/supply and road have already being completed and more than 80% houses have been constructed /under construction in this sector at present there is senior secondary school in panchkula (Extn).The hon’ble chief minster Haryana has also been announced regarding construction of senior secondary school during visiting in panchkula(Extn).To meat out the requirement of residents of the sector. Therefore, it has been decided by the higher authorities to construct a senior secondary school building panchkula(Extn).keeping in view the drawing for construction of senior secondary school building as supplied by the senior architect, HUDA, Panchkula bearing job number 2750,drg. No. 1 and job no 1191 and drg. no 2 to7(main drawing) are followed for above said estimate .the necessary plan has been attach with this estimate along with layout plan of sector 26 , panchkula (Extn). Showing the proposed site for construction of senior secondary school building in sector 26, panchkula (Extn) Accordingly the rough cost estimate amounting to Rs20,71,354390/ has been framed including 3% contingency charges to cover the probable cost of senior administrative approval from the competent authority.

DESIGN AND SCOPE :- The estimate cover the provision for construction of building work on ground floor (G+1st)+part 2nd floor boundary wall including electrical ,public health services, in class rooms , office block, staff room, principal room, library and toilets.

RATES:The estimates is framed on basic of CPWD DELHI plinth area rates (2012) issued by CPWD.

SPECIFICATION:The building will be constructed as per CPWD specification 2012 with addition as applicable up to date of amendments.

CARRYING OUT THE WORK:The work shall be got carried out by letting out the work to a registered contractor inviting competitive tenders as per rules and regulations.

TIME:It will take about 24 months to complete the work from the date of its actual commencement. COST:The total cost of the estimates works out to Rs 20,71,35,430/ including 1.5 % consultancy and structural design and 3% contingency and petty establishment charges. Executive Engineer,

HISTORY:-This detail estimate amounting to Rs.137588842.24/-cr Including 3% contingency and 16% Cost index has been prepared for accord and technical sanction for construction of senior secondary school sec-26 Panchkula. In this estimate construction of ground floor + 1st floor and part 2nd floor has been considered as per architecture drawings. The preliminary estimate for this work has been prepared amounting RS-.207135430.00cr.In this P.E. there is provision of RS-.27484009.51/-. for building components considered is the building estimate.

RATE:The DSR 2012 has been considered in this estimate and items having no DSR rate has been considered as market rate.

FOUNDATION AND BEARING CAPICITY:-

The soil bearing capacity has been considered 20T/m^2 at a depth of 1.2m below ground level.
