HE LOOKS TO HIS RIGHT OBSERVING THE DEPARTING GROUP LED BY ILANA AND BRAM. HE BEGINS WALKING STRAIGHT TO THE STATUE. A VOICE EMERGES. FLOCKE: (OFFSCREEN) YOU’RE NOT GOING TO FIND ANYTHING IN THERE. RICHARD CONTINUES SILENTLY TOWARDS THE STATUE. WE NOW SEE A CENTERED SHOT ON FLOCKE AND BEN. FLOCKE GIVES BEN A LOOK AS IF TO SAY ‘FOLLOW MY LEAD’. HE SPEAKS VERY QUIETLY TO BEN. FLOCKE: (HUSHED) THE TEMPLE. FLOCKE: (LOUDLY TO WHOLE GROUP) LISTEN UP, I NEED EVERYONE TO GATHER ROUND. THE GROUP GROWS TIGHTER AROUND FLOCKE, ANXIOUS TO HEAR HIS WORDS. JACK STILL ‘COMING TO’ BREATHING HEAVILY, IN SHOCK AND THE GROUP LOOKING ON WITH CONCERN.

(CONTINUED GENERAL SCREAMS TO THE EFFECT OF “GET ME OUT!”) FOOTSTEPS ARE HEARD AND SAWYER OBSERVES A SLIGHT SHADOW TOWARDS HIS FEET AT WHAT APPEARS TO BE A DOORWAY. SAWYER: IS SOMEBODY THERE? WHERE THE HELL AM I? MORE FOOTSTEPS AS THE SHADOW APPEARS TO ENTER THE ROOM. WE SEE SAWYER’S FACE IN A CLOSE UP. HIS REACTION TELLS US THAT HE MIGHT RECOGNIZE THE PERSON HE’S TALKING TO. 3 ACT TWO: WE ARE BACK IN THIS DARK ROOM. SAYID STANDS, HOLDING A TORCH AT THE FOOT OF A CONCRETE PLATFORM SURFACE, WHERE SAWYER IS STRAPPED DOWN BY RESTRAINTS. WE HEAR FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING. SAWYER RAISES HIS HEAD AND BEGINS TO ADDRESS THE UNSEEN PERSON. SAWYER: (ANGRILY) SAYID, YOU LET ME OUT OF HERE NOW!! MORE FOOTSTEPS, A SHADOW ENTERS. SAWYER BREAKS THE SILENCE. SAWYER: HE’S JUST AS DEAD AS JULIET IS. ONCE MORE, THE GROUP HAVING TO DEAL WITH THE SADNESS GROWS EVER QUIET AS THEY FOCUS IN ON SAWYER’S VOICE.
