SECURITY INFORMATION The Management wishes to bring the following Security information to the attention of the members of the University Community: CAR STICKERS Car stickers and key holders for students, staff and residents/retirees are now available for collection at the Security Office between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. Mondays – Fridays only. The prices are N250.00, N300.00 and N400.00 respectively. DRY SEASON The dry season is here and the vegetation is dry. Members of the University Community are hereby advised to avoid all forms of uncontrolled bush and refuse burning that can cause major fire outbreak. BANGERS/EXPLOSIVES Now that Ileya, the Christmas and New Year Festivals are fast approaching, parents and guardians are hereby advised to warn their children/wards against the use of bangers, knockouts and explosives during the festive seasons. The Police warning, which banned the use of the above mentioned items in Oyo State, is still in force. This law also applies to the University Community, as any one caught would be handed over to the Police immediately. In the meantime, members of the University Community are hereby enjoined to be wary of miscreants lurking around isolated areas at odd hours of the day who could take advantage to rob them of their property. You are therefore advised to be extra vigilant during the festivals and avoid a situation whereby houses are left desolate. Meanwhile, the Security Unit will continue to do all in its power to checkmate the activities of miscreants. We wish our Muslim brothers and sisters happy Id el Fitri celebration. Also, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance to the Christians. Meanwhile, members of the University Community are hereby reminded that the curfew imposed in the University to checkmate the perpetration of havoc on Campus is still in force. The period of the curfew is from 1200 midnight to 0500. During the period, pedestrian as well as vehicular movement is out rightly banned. Anybody caught violating the order would have himself or herself to blame.
