Worship suggestions for Fellowship Sunday 2009 Call to Worship/Opening Collect What a Fellowship, what a joy divine that we have been manifesting for forty years O God! On this Sunday as we reflect on the deep connection that sustains us as members and friends of MCC, keep us mindful of the work of your radically inclusive love that still needs to be done in our world. Convict each one of us in the part we must do to make this love a reality and inspire all of us to leadership for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Amen Offering Prayer God of Moses, Miriam and Aaron; God of Peter, James, John and Mary Magdalene; we thank you that in all times and all places you call forth and gift leaders for your people. We ask that you bless this offering for MCC Fellowship Sunday. Bless its use for the equipping of leaders in our churches and denomination as we seek to answer your call to be the Human Rights Church worldwide. Amen Suggestions for Communion Liturgy During the Great Thanksgiving or during the Prayer of Consecration pray by name for the leaders of your congregation. Also during the liturgy consider praying for the Office of Formation and Leadership Development, students who are In Care, and those discerning what form their leadership will take in MCC.
