SPECIAL MEETING

President Wollert opened the Special Meeting at 1:00 pm and read the Open Public Meeting Statement. The notice requirements provided for in the “Open Public Meetings Act” have been satisfied. Notice of this meeting was properly given in a notice which was transmitted to the Times of Trenton and the Trentonian, filed with the Clerk of the Township of Ewing and posted in the Ewing Township Municipal Complex, all on the 1st day of April, 2009. Mr. Cox – Present Mr. Murphy - Absent Mr. Steinmann - Present Mr. Summiel – Absent President Wollert- Present

Jack Ball, Mayor David Thompson, Administrator Mike Hartsough, Attorney Stephen Elliott, Municipal Clerk Chris Jack, Chief Financial Officer Joe Monzo, Financial Consultant

This Special Meeting has been called to deal solely with an amendment to the introduced FY 2008-2009 budget. No other business can be conducted. SPECIAL MEETING 1. The Clerk read (Resolution #09R-65) A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EWING AMENDING THE INTRODUCED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009. Mr. Monzo discussed the proposed amendment which resulted from a review by he and Mr. Jack of the spending that had occurred to date in the fiscal year, and as a result of recommendations from the Department of Community Affairs due to the status of the Township’s tax levy. Mr. Steinmann and President Wollert commented that the proposals were the result of improperly budgeted items in the introduced budget. Mr. Cox moved to approve the resolution, seconded by Mr. Steinmann. ROLL CALL

The Resolution was approved. STATEMENTS AND COMENTS FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC Kim Welebir (10 Currier Way) asked about the possibility of further reducing some line items and what the amount of revenue had been received from the OPUS project. President Wollert responded. There being no further business, President Wollert called for a motion to adjourn. Mr. Cox so moved, seconded by Mr. Steinmann. The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 pm.
