Lesson ICT lesson - Unite 2 - Microsoft No of 31 students unit/page word students Context of the lesson This lesson covers how to open, close Microsoft word program, and discover the options tab, what each one is includes. Teaching goal The overall aim of this lesson is to teach studnets how to open, close Microsoft word program, and discover the options tab, what each one is includes, through using simple instrutions. Learning objectives At the end of the lesson students will be able to: Know how to open and close Microsoft word program  Discover each option in the options tab in the Microsoft word program Assumptions about prior learning The learners will have encountered that open mean dubule click to the program icon to open it, and close mean click to the X to close the program. Anticipated problems and possible solutions Some learners maybe didn’t know that there are a lot of useful options in the option tabs like ; home, insert, page layout, references, mailings, review, view, dsign and layout, in the Microsoft word program that help edit and design their text. Personal focus for this lesson  Monitor children more closely  Explain the new vocabulary in easy way, with real example.  Pronunciation, tone  Give the students positive reinforcements  Eyes contact  Confidant Target language :Teacher language:- Microsoft word - What is the day and date today? - option tabs - Who is absent today? - home - Good work, excellent, good and nice work - insert - Who can guess what our lesson about? - page layout - What kind of program that you use to create - references your report for other subject? - mailings - In which way Ms. Word useful for you as a - review, view and dsign students? Main tasks or activities Resources and teaching aids The teacher will create a challenging task Whiteboard marker, marker, eraser, students to encourage students learn and feel lesson worksheets, projector, teacher computer, exiting at the same time. For example; the powerpoint, students computers and timer. teacher will distribute a worksheet for the students let them work individually but they must make sure that all their member finished their work to get a group point. Consider these grouping strategies: Consider where the children are working:  Inside ICT lab, carpet area & at their desk  Whole class, group & individually

1- The teacher will ask students about the day, date, take the attendance, remind them of classroom rule, explain what I am looking for during this lesson thorugh using PowerPoint and explain to them the week lesson plan. 2- The teacher will play missing word game with students to guess what is the lesson about? Then present the lesson objective, and let students participate to read it one by one. 3- The teacher will ask students, what kind of program that they use to write their report? Then write on the whiteboard page Ms. Word, option tabs, open and close Ms. Word to cover and build their brainstorm of what the students already know about this program.

 The whole class will listen to the teacher instructions and interact to answer her questions about day, date, while she take the attendance, play missing word game, ask general questions about Ms. Word and participate to read the lesson objective.  Students will sit on their place, each of them will think to answer the teacher question about Ms. Word, option tabs, open and close Ms. Word.

4- The teacher will explain the lesson steps thorugh using projector, to show students how to apply open, close Microsoft word program, and discover the options tab in Ms. Word. Then let the students participate one by one to show their friend again how to open, close Microsoft word program and what option tabs include in generally. Watch video about open & close Ms. Word 5- The teacher will create a challenging task to encourage students learn and feel exiting at the same time. For example; the teacher will distribute a worksheet for the students let them work individually but they must make sure that all their member finished their work to get a group point, that will help the students to apply their worksheet steps, and practice what they are learn from my explanation. 6- The teacher will review the lesson to the students through ask them why they are learn how to open, close Microsoft word program and option tabs. Then give students homework, which is discover more about Ms. Word option tabs and

 Students will be attentive to the teacher explaining, be active when the teacher asks some questions that related to the lesson.

 Students will feel exciting and active to create a nice page with page number, page color, and watermark thorugh using Microsft word to be the winner group in this challenge.  Students will be attention to know what is their homework? To help them remains the new information that they learned it in their minds.
