P R I N T E R Y Si BOOK S T O R E
December 29, 1940. Dear Maryi I appreciate sincerely the prompt information you gave me on Luther's mishap, and I only hope that developments indicate that his injuries aren ot of a permanent nature. x
am tonight writing to Junior. 1 believe that with you and Junior watching out for Luther, he will be .n f-ood hands, and have the best of care. It is too bad that I am so fara away that I can be of little assistance, Dther than to hope and pray that x,uther will quickly and completely recover from his injuries, however they were inflicted. 1 am not tellin^ Mama of this, for it wpuld only worry her. Will tell her when I have held definite word that .Luther is out of danger, which I hope may arrive within a few days. The other children do not know of it, either, as yet. Would appreciate your keeping me completely in touch. 1 wish you would send me Luther's hospital address, that I might write him. We are just getting over the Christmas rush here at the store, and preparing to start inventory (which takes a week vr more) within a few days. We had a fair Christmas business. ±«iama is real well, and the children are, too. Gene is better than six feet tall now, and Virginia is fast growing into a big and husky girl. Must rush along now, as this ray's schedule is full, with Sunday school and church, singiig at a friend's wedding this afternoon, and t trip later to Bess' folks out in the country. Give my regprds to John and Gheta. Prom what I have heard, both must be big and handsome youngsters by now.
