Part One – Gathering evidence In pairs, decide on a specific area or aspect or Mental Health that you would like to research. You are then to design a 6 question survey to determine the Mental Health issues or concerns that could affect young people in your year or within the school. These questions would help to form part of a report for the Heads of Houses or School Counsellor. Part Two – Using the findings Based on your findings and other areas of research, explain the main ideas/ themes discovered from your research.
Part Three and Four – Health promotion In pairs, devise a health-promoting initiative that will be held in school and is aimed at assisting young people to develop and maintain positive mental health Your initiative needs to align to one of the Ottawa Charter focus areas Model your initiatives around those that you might have seen through research and considering what would appeal to your peers. The method of presentation is yours to decide (can be written or presented as multi media) and selected initiatives will be implemented in the school in 2018
