Dear Concern, Assalamualikum. First of all I’d like to say sorry for my approach of writing about resignation, please exonerate me. According to the Oxford Dictionary the word Emergency defined as “sudden serious situation needing quick action” which is obeyed by everyone, everywhere. But from my hon’ble supervisor’s speech* the word emergency seems to be defined as the past Caretaker Government of BD (backed by BD Army), I wonder whether his speech was backed by company policy or the company’s general rules on employment. Yesterday at around 6.23 PM I requested my supervisor to grant me a 1 day leave for today for an Emergency of my family, he denied my request, when I requested further, his speech was –“especially you are not allowed to have any emergency leave, can’t you inform me at least 7* days of your necessity ? You are always requesting for the same.” Dear concern, how I could be informed about my emergency on 7 days ago ? According to English grammar “always requesting” means it is my habit. But is it true with respect of your official record regarding my service with PBTL for the last 6 months ? Whatsoever- in reply to a query of “especially you are not allowed to have any emergency leave” my supervisor told me, “some days ago (10 May) you had 1 day leave by showing cause of illness. But I was really ill, which was properly informed to my supervisor through the below mail (Mail 1) and over phone. On 10 May I was seriously weak and was not able to back from Dhaka which was properly informed to my supervisor on 9 May after returning from a follow-up appointment with my physician .( I was cured by following suggestion of Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Medical Officer, Medicine and Cancer Dept., BSMMU, cell: 01920 212 067). My hon’ble supervisor called to my father’s cell to justify my speech regarding illness, and then again to my father’s cell, saying- “uncle, I’m Joy, Shohag’s friend, I’m calling him, but he didn’t respond, so I call you. Where is he ?” Dear concern, I don’t have any friend named Joy and as my father is an police personnel, so I didn’t ever provide my father’s cell no. to any of my friend. It is clear enough, by whom the phone was made. So, wasn’t the second call to justify my father’s speech ? But could it be done by PBTL ? If I am guilty, I may be verified, punished as I’m an employee of PBTL but my father do not. I had only 1 day casual leave (Mail 2) on 7 April whose mail was sent on 24 March in this year. Dear concern, I can’t recall whether I’ve violated any code of conduct of PBTL. Even I’ve always informed my supervisor over phone or through mail, whenever I left my station for any reason on weekend. Which was instructed on CCR’s Guideline (2.3 Leave Management and 2.5 Office Timing). For my today’s prayed leave my supervisor also said that, the buffer is engaged with other CCP, but just before calling him, I had contacted with Buffer Rofik bhai (858185), who said that, he is not engaged with any CCP. But, is it expected from any boss to any employee such type of non-true speech ! Finally my leave wasn’t granted, saying- although buffer is free, you won’t get leave, because management always supervise in this regard that, whether leave application is done 7 days prior to the effective date and forbade to grant any emergency leave. It is not an alien, but the familiar style, approach, usual attitude and culture of Dhaka 7. Dear concern, if it is the scenario of PBTL, it will be quite impossible for me to serve with PBTL. In these above mentioned scenario, there is no alternative, but to resign from my position at PBTL. So, please accept my resignation and take necessary arrangement to receive assets and inventory of Kasiany CCP from me and release me by 7 July 2009 with respect of the Termination clause of my employment offer letter issued by HR division on 12 January 2009.
After my resignation I’ll be available through: [email protected], 01913 371 557 and 01713 076 641. It is mentioned that, I’ve joined as an CCR on 13 January 2009. Please have a look over the attachment.
