OHIO COMMUNITY THEATRE ASSOCIATION GUIDELINES FOR TECHNICAL AWARDS FOR SOUND DESIGN - LIGHTING DESIGN OR STAGE MANAGEMENT PURPOSE: To honor an outstanding designer in Lighting or Sound or Outstanding Stage Management to mount and run a production. Each OCTA member theatre is eligible to submit an entry for each show in their current season. The theatre’s Regional Rep will view the Production. AN OFFICIAL ENTRY WILL INCLUDE: 1. The official entry form 2. Written comments by Regional Rep viewing the production. 3. Designer’s concept and execution of design (Lighting or Sound) or Stage Manager’s execution of running the production.

The Regional Rep is to submit with the entry form a type written comment from their viewing of the production. (A copy of the Regional Reps comments must be mailed to the OCTA Theatre within 2 weeks of the performance.) The entry form and Regional Rep comments must be turned in to the Programming Committee for consideration for the Technical Award. DEADLINE: JULY 15, 2009
