PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPOS ECENG GONDOK DAN JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kompos eceng gondok dan jarak tanam, serta mendapatkan dosis kompos eceng gondok dan jarak tanam terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi bawang merah. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Unit Pelaksanaan Teknis Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau dari Agustus sampai November 2017. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk faktorial yang disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok yang terdiri dari 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah kompos eceng gondok yaitu 10 ton.haˉ¹, 15 ton.haˉ¹, 20 ton.haˉ¹, and 25 ton.haˉ¹. Faktor kedua jarak tanam yaitu 10 cm x 20 cm, 15 cm x 20 cm and 20 cm x 20 cm. Data yang diperoleh diuji lanjut dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan 5%. Interaksi kompos eceng gondok dan jarak tanam berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Interaksi kompos eceng gondok dosis 25 ton.haˉ¹ pada jarak tanam 15 cm x 20 cm merupakan dosis terbaik untuk meningkatkan jumlah daun per rumpun, lilit umbi, dan berat berat umbi layak simpan per plot pada tanaman bawang merah. THE EFFECT OF ECENG GONDOK COMPOSTING AND DISTANCE OF PLANT TOWARD GROWTH AND PRODUCTION (Allium ascaloicum L.)

ABSTRACT The aims of this research were to best out the effect of water hyacinth compost aplication and plant distance, and to got dose of water hyacinth compost toward growth and production of union. This research was conducted at the technical plantation unit of experimental garden of Riau University's Agricultural Faculty from August to November 2017. Using factorial arranged in randomized block design consists of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor of water hyacinth compost are 10 ton.haˉ¹, 15 ton.haˉ¹, 20 ton.haˉ¹, and 25 ton.haˉ¹. The second factor planting distance is 10 cm x 20 cm, 15 cm x 20 cm and 20 cm x 20 cm. The data obtained were tested further by Duncan's multiple-range test of 5%. The interaction of water hyacinth composting and planting distance no significant effect on all observation parameters. The interaction of water hyacinth composti doses 25 ton.ha-¹ at plant spacing of 15 cm x 20 cm appears to be the best dose to increase leaf count per clump, tuber bulbs, and tuber weight per plot of red onion.
