By: Jorge Villavicencio (Based on Billy Graham's message) BIBLICAL TEXT: 2 Kings 4: 26 "Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well”. INTRODUCTION This text speaks to us about the question that Elisha asks to a woman on the family topic. Is everything going well? Is your husband doing well, and your son? It isn’t a secret for anybody that in these times the family institution is in great crisis. "The disintegration of the family is a diabolical strategy to avoid the propagation of the Christian faith. With the result that the best method to spread the Christian faith is the family: Christian, compassionate parents, full with the Holy Spirit and of the Word of God that love the Bible, love the church, love the gospel and Jesus Christ. These parents are those that ulteriorly will evangelize their children and those children will be taken charge of promoting the Christian faith toward their descendants Dr. James Dobson, director of "Focus on the Family". Colossians 3: 19 "Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them”. That love is manifested through the tenderness and kindness. To be caring, to call the wife from the office, to say goodbye with a loving kiss before you go to

How many husbands there are that leave their dear wife with the stretched lips, and they leave like an exhalation toward their work and when they return home, their wife's lips ar a coat-rack so that they hang the coat. III. – HOW ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR HUSBAND? Ephesians 5: 33 "Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband”. God has called women to be men's suitable help, since God had said that it was not good that man be alone. Are you help for your husband? The expression suitable help means competent collaboration or mutual collaboration. Sadly many ladies adopt a critical and conflicting attitude inside their home. Proverbs 19: 13 "and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping”. There are husbands who are happy only when the wife becomes hoarse. IV. – HOW ARE YOUR MATRIMONIAL RELATIONSHIP? Genesis 2: 24"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.

Man, as well as woman, when they decided to unite in the sacred bond of marriage have cut their dependence knots that united them with their respective progenitors. All problem inside marriage should be solved without the parents interference. When Christ is governing the home, the process of the adjustment becomes easier. -. Are you well in your sexual relationship? The Word of God says that they will unite and they will be one flesh. Do you allow lustful fantasies in your heart with people that don't correspond you? As men, we cannot resist the sexual temptations for ourselves, we need Christ's presence to resist them. V. – ARE YOU DOING WELL WITH YOUR CHILDREN? Ephesians 6: 3 "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord”.

The number one in your home must be your wife, not your mother, neither your mother-in-law, nor your siblings, or your relatives. Every mother or father should rent the empty room as soon as their children leave to their new home, when they get married.

As parents we should give time to our children, to celebrate the family altar, to look forward to be our children's friends. VI. – ARE YOU DOING WELL WITH YOUR PARENTS? -. Are you well as son? Deuteronomy 5: 16 "Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee”. -. Are you well with your parents or do you disobey them? Colossians 3: 20"Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord”. -. Do you speak bad thing about your parents? Deuteronomy 27: 16 "Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother”. Proverbs 20: 20 "Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness”. -. Do you steal from your parents? Proverbs 28: 24 "Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer”.
